artist statement

My work functions as a visual diary, using painting as a way to process internal experiences and better understand my evolving sense of self. Through self-portraiture, I create “abstracted interiors”—imagined environments that hold fragments of memory, emotion, and personal reflection. Rather than depicting specific moments, I translate feelings, memories, and inner experiences into symbolic spaces where thoughts and emotions can be examined and transformed. While rooted in my own experiences, the work invites viewers to reflect on their own inner landscapes—the memories, emotions, and experiences that shape their understanding of themselves.
